PEER REVIEW PROCESS

SPEKTRAL works with authors, editors, section editors, and reviewers during the review process and uses the Double-Blind Review technique whenever possible to protect confidentiality. The editor first reviews each manuscript that is submitted. The document is passed on to the reviewer to assess the substance and uniqueness of the manuscript if the article complies with the focus, scope, and SPEKTRAL writing requirements. Otherwise, the manuscript will be given back to the author. Each document will be examined by a minimum of two reviewers for one to two weeks using the criteria outlined in the article assessment form for reviewers. It usually takes 8 weeks or so to publish an article once it has been submitted.
