Development of information technology corresponds positively with development of its terms. Any foreign vocabulary should be matched with Indonesian language, taking into account Guidance for Terms Formation (Pedoman Pembentukan Istilah (P3B)). For the time being, internet develops very fast, as well as its users; as an example in 2013, 82 million users have been recorded. In 2014, the number of internet users is estimated to be 107 million. Development of internet is also followed with development of its terms, which frequently creates some new difficulty to language experts. Based on the research analysis, adoption of internet terms can be categorized into equal form, original form, and abbreviation form. Among these forms, equal or matching form was the most common in the adoption of internet terms. This will lead to a significant, positive potential, so that Indonesian language can hopefully be a modern/ technology/scientific language.
