Abstract

The development of the MICE industry has given a very diverse color to the types of service industry activities that are synonymous with service delivery. The other side, MICE is a business that contributes highly economically, especially to developing countries such as Indonesia. Entering this growing era requires all organizers in the MICE fields to be able to perform operational management functions in accordance with the standards of on-going event activities, including supporting activities such as buyers handling hospitality or known as airport transfer services managed by Debindomulti Adhiswasti,Tbk, where the author conducts research. The formulation of the problems used are the planning and implementation of operational management of buyers handling hospitality activities, as well as obstacles found in operational management. The purposes of this research are to find out the planning, implementation, and obstacles of operational management of buyer handling hospitality activities at the 33rd Trade Expo Indonesia 2018, which was held 22-28 October, 2018 located in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) Tangerang, Banten. On this occasion the author uses the method of observation, documentation, and browsing to obtain data in the field of operational management. The implementation of operational management in the event is used to optimally manage use of all existing factors in order to become a variety of products or services that can be used to support a needs.
